The Seametric’s smart turbidity sensor and data logger combination (TURBO) is a highly accurate, robust self-cleaning submersible turbidity sensor with integrated data logger. This submersible sensor measures turbidity and temperature and can be programmed to take samples at different intervals using the free and powerful data acquisition Aqua4Plus Software.

This highly advanced self-cleaning and submersible turbidity sensor is available in two configurations 0-400 NTU and 0-3000 NTU making versatile for many environmental and industrial applications including; Groundwater, Surface water, Agricultural runoff studies, Aquaculture, Leachate monitoring, Discharge monitoring, Remediation performance, Wastewater and More.

over 250,000 time and date stamped turbidity and temperature measurements can be stored in non-volatile memory no data loss concerns even in the event of a power failure.

What is turbidity?

It is the measure of relative clarity of a liquid. It is an optical characteristic of water and is a measurement of the amount of light that is scattered by material in the water when a light is shined through the water sample. The higher the intensity of scattered light, the higher the turbidity. Material that causes water to be turbid include clay, silt, very tiny inorganic and organic matter, algae, dissolved colored organic compounds, and plankton and other microscopic organisms.
