The 260-2501-A Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is made for the National Weather Service to offer a dependable, cost-effective rain sensor. It includes an inner funnel to even out the rain flow for better accuracy at higher rainfall rates. Its simple design ensures trouble-free operation and precise rainfall measurements. The tipping bucket mechanism triggers a sealed reed switch for every 0.01" or 1 mm of rainfall (other calibrations available). The 260-RGAI-70 Rain Gauge Interface converts the signal from a tipping bucket rain gauge into a 4-20 mA current loop signal, ideal for input to a PLC or SCADA system. Each tip of the rain gauge bucket causes the output signal to increase 1% of full scale. Full scale represents 100 tips of the bucket.
